PROFESSIONAL (NWSL) 

Entering her first season in the NWSL, Ji joins the club from Suwon FC in the WK League, the highest-level women’s league in South Korea...Named Midfielder of the Year in consecutive seasons (2022-23) while at Suwon FC...Was the first South Korean player to play in the FA Women’s Super League when she first signed with Chelsea in 2014 and totaled eight seasons with the club. 

KOREA REPUBLIC: Through 2023, Ji is the all-time leading goal scorer for her country with 69 goals across 154 senior national team appearances...In 2006, made her senior team debut and went on to become the nation’s youngest goal-scorer (15 years, 282 days)...Has represented Korea Republic at the U-17 and U-20 levels. 

GLOBAL SUCCESS: Throughout Ji’s professional career, she has achieved various accolades at the international level. The midfielder has been shortlisted for FIFA Best Women’s Footballer and the FIFPRO World 11. Ji has been honored seven times as South Korea’s Women’s Footballer of the Year and was named the first female co-president of the Korean Pro-Footballer’s Association.
