With 14 years of coaching experience in the United States, Parksinson was hired as the Head Assistant Coach of Seattle Reign FC on January 10, 2023. Prior to joining the Reign, Parkinson was named Gotham FC’s head coach midway through the 2021 season, leading the team to the 2021 NWSL playoffs for the first time since 2013. Prior to Gotham, he served as an assistant coach for the Chicago Red Stars until August 2021. 

Parkinson had his first stint with head coach Laura Harvey for two seasons at the Utah Royals in 2018 and 2019, where he initially made his NWSL start as an assistant coach under Harvey. Together, the two helped guide the Royals to 19 wins in two years. Parkinson later served as the club’s head coach through the 2020 NWSL Draft. Prior to joining the NWSL, Parkinson served two years as the Head Women’s Soccer Coach at Rogers State University. The Liverpool, England native holds a USSF Pro coaching license, in addition to USSF A and UEFA B licenses.
