Kathy Ridgewell-Williams

Kathy Ridgewell-Williams was a forward with speed, skill, and a relentless drive to win. A native of Enumclaw, Washington, she was an NAIA All-American and the top scorer at Western Washington University before earning her place on the first U.S. Women’s National Team in 1985. 

Ridgewell-Williams brought a direct, attacking style to the squad and later became known for her leadership in sharing knowledge and experiences with younger players across the country. 

 “We came back and shared everything. The stories. The tactics. What we saw. We were scattered across the country — but that’s what made the difference. We spread the knowledge,” she says
