Reign FC LLC dba Seattle Reign FC (“Reign,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to safeguarding your privacy. This Privacy Policy (this “Policy”) describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information through the websites, mobile applications, and online services that link to or post this Policy (collectively, the “Websites”), including our Seattle Reign FC website and our Seattle Reign Academy (“Academy” or “Seattle Reign Academy”) website. Some portions of this Policy apply only to particular Websites, as noted below. By using the Websites, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
You can visit and enjoy much of the Websites without disclosing any personal information about yourself. For certain services and features to work, however, we need you to provide certain personal information. We collect the following categories of information:
Information you provide to us. When you create an account, purchase or manage tickets or merchandise, sign up for communications, enter a sweepstakes, contest, or promotion, register for or inquire about Academy programs, or otherwise interact with us, we may collect your name, postal address, email address, telephone number, username and password, payment and billing information, shipping information, communication preferences, and any other information you choose to provide.
Information we collect automatically. When you use the Websites, we automatically collect certain information about your device and activity, including your IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, links clicked, and dates and times of access. We collect this information using cookies and similar tracking technologies, as described below.
Information we collect from third parties. We may receive information about you from our service providers, promotional partners, sponsors, and analytics or advertising providers, and we may combine that information with information we collect directly.
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the information we collect to: (a) provide, operate, and improve the Websites and the products, services, tickets, and programs you request; (b) process transactions and send related confirmations and account or service communications; (c) respond to your inquiries and provide customer support; (d) send you marketing and promotional communications where permitted, and offers from us and, with your permission, from our promotional partners; (e) personalize and analyze your use of the Websites, including through analytics and, on certain Websites, interest-based advertising; (f) operate our Seattle Reign Academy programs; (g) protect the security and integrity of the Websites and prevent fraud and misuse; and (h) comply with our legal obligations and enforce our terms.
3. COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES
To help us serve you better, we collect information that identifies your computer or browser rather than you personally. We do this using small files called “cookies” and by tracking IP addresses. A cookie is a small amount of data, often including an anonymous unique identifier, that is sent to your browser from a Website’s servers and stored on your device. We may use cookies to make the Websites work better — for example, by keeping track of your login name and password and, if you make purchases, your shopping cart. We also use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the Websites, track visitor movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.
On certain Websites, we may allow other companies that present advertisements or provide services on our pages to set and access cookies on your device. Those companies’ use of cookies is governed by their own privacy policies, not this Policy. Specifically, we may use a third-party advertising company to serve ads when you visit certain pages of some of our Websites. That company may use non-identifying, aggregated information about your visits (not including your name, address, email address, or telephone number) to provide advertisements about goods and services that may interest you.
Most browsers allow you to accept or reject cookies through a simple procedure. If you set your browser not to accept cookies, you may not be able to use certain features or services on the Websites.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Some browsers transmit “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signals. Because there is no common industry standard for how to interpret these signals, our Websites do not currently respond to them, except where we are required to do so by applicable law. We will update this Policy if our practices change.
4. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION
We do not sell your personal information in exchange for money. We share personal information only as described in this Policy, as follows:
Service providers. We share personal information with third-party service providers that perform services on our behalf, such as payment processing, order fulfillment, hosting, analytics, customer support, and communications, and, in certain circumstances, to provide you with ticket-related offers. These providers are permitted to use personal information only to provide services to us.
Promotional partners. From time to time we offer a special promotion (such as a sweepstakes, contest, fantasy soccer, or a free subscription to goods or services) on certain Websites together with a third-party service provider, sponsor, or promotional partner. We share your information with that partner so it can send you its own special promotions only if you give us permission to do so.
Aggregated or de-identified information. We may share aggregated demographic or other de-identified information with third parties. This information is not linked to any personal information that identifies you or another individual, and we do not attempt to re-identify it.
Business transfers. Reign may be sold, or may engage in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or other transaction in which customer information is among the business assets transferred. In such a case, the information we have gathered may be one of the assets transferred, subject to this Policy.
Legal and safety disclosures. We may be required to share your personal and non-personal information pursuant to judicial or governmental subpoenas, warrants, or orders, and we will comply with the law. In addition, notwithstanding any contrary term in this Policy, we reserve the right to use and disclose your personal and non-personal information to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of a Website’s Terms of Service, or as otherwise required or permitted by law.
5. MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS AND YOUR CHOICES
With your permission, we may send you emails with special offers and promotions. Every commercial marketing email we send identifies itself as an advertisement or solicitation, includes a valid physical postal address for Reign, and provides a clear and conspicuous way to unsubscribe. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any such email or by contacting us using the information in the “Contact Us” section below. We do not charge a fee or require you to provide information other than your email address and opt-out preferences in order to opt out. We will honor your request within ten (10) business days. Opting out of marketing communications will not stop transactional or relationship messages, such as order confirmations or account and service notices.
6. CHILDREN’S INFORMATION
Our Seattle Reign FC Websites generally are directed to adults and are not intended for use by children under the age of thirteen (13), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under thirteen (13) through those Websites.
Our Seattle Reign Academy Website (https://www.reignacademy.com) is designed for parents and guardians of youth interested in our soccer training and development programs, so that they can obtain information together with their youth and so that youth, with the oversight and collaboration of a parent or guardian, can express interest in or sign up for programs. Parent or guardian information is always required for information entered into sign-up forms on the Academy Website. Information collected through the Academy Website is used only to operate our Academy programs and is not sold or shared with any third parties for their own marketing purposes. The Academy Website uses some cookies that gather technical and usage information from the device or browser used to access the Website, but this information is used only to support our internal operations and not for advertising or marketing purposes.
Where we knowingly collect personal information online from a child under thirteen (13), we comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”). This means we provide notice to parents of the information we collect, how we use it, and our disclosure practices; we obtain verifiable parental consent before collecting, using, or disclosing a child’s personal information, except where an exception under COPPA applies; we do not condition a child’s participation in an activity on the child providing more information than is reasonably necessary; and we maintain reasonable procedures to protect the confidentiality, security, and integrity of children’s information. A parent or guardian may review the personal information we have collected from their child, refuse to permit its further collection or use, and request its deletion by contacting us using the information in the “Contact Us” section below.
7. WASHINGTON CONSUMER HEALTH DATA
This Policy does not govern “consumer health data” as defined by the Washington My Health My Data Act. To the extent we collect consumer health data — for example, health, injury, wellness, or similar information that may be provided in connection with our Seattle Reign Academy programs — that data is governed by our separate Washington Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy, which is available through a link on the home page of our Website. That separate policy describes the categories of consumer health data we collect and the purposes for collection, the sources of the data, the categories of consumer health data we share and the categories of third parties and affiliates with whom we share it, and how you may exercise your rights to access, withdraw consent to, and delete your consumer health data. We obtain your consent before collecting or sharing consumer health data as required by that law, and we do not sell consumer health data without your separate, valid written authorization.
8. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS AND HOW TO REVIEW YOUR INFORMATION
You can review and update much of your personal information at any time by signing in and revising your preferences, which include your shipping, payment, and account information and whether you wish to receive communications from us. In addition, you may request to access, correct, or delete the personal information we maintain about you, or close your account, by contacting us using the information in the “Contact Us” section below. We may retain certain information as necessary for legitimate business or record-keeping purposes or as permitted or required by law, and we may need to verify your identity before acting on your request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
9. DATA RETENTION
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy — including to provide the Websites and the products, services, and programs you request, to maintain your account, and to comply with our legal, tax, accounting, and record-keeping obligations — after which we delete or de-identify it. The length of time we retain information depends on the type of information and the purpose for which it was collected.
10. DATA SECURITY
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the personal information we collect against unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. Among other measures, we use industry-standard encryption (such as SSL/TLS) to protect data transmissions. No method of transmission over the internet or of electronic storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the applicable authorities as and when required by law.
11. LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES
The Websites may contain links to websites operated by unrelated third parties. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites. We encourage you to be aware of this when you leave the Websites and to read the privacy policy of every website that collects personally identifiable information from you. This Policy applies only to the Websites where it is posted.
12. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
If we make an important change to this Policy, we will post a notice and a link to the updated Policy on our home page and update the “Last Updated” date above. If we wish to use personal information we previously collected from you in a manner materially different from what we disclosed when it was collected, we will provide notice and, where required, obtain your consent before doing so.
