MARGARET “TUCKA” HEALY
Margaret “Tucka” Healy was one of Northern California’s most prolific goal scorers and a defining presence in the early years of women’s soccer. At the University of California, Berkeley, she ranked among the program’s all-time leaders in goals, tying with Alex Morgan for third place on the career list.
In 1985, Healy joined the first-ever U.S. Women’s National Team, bringing her natural scoring instincts to the squad’s historic debut. She also starred for the powerhouse California Tremors club team, earning NSCAA All-Region honors and induction into Cal’s “Lair of Legends” Hall of Fame in 2015.
“There was no path. There was no existence, literally, of anything. So it’s just so interesting—we created all of this,” says Healy.
