Day in Photos: OL Reign's 2022 Pride Match, Presented by Starbucks

Last Friday, July 1, OL Reign hosted its annual Pride Match, presented by Starbucks. On the field, the team pulled off a dominant 2-0 win over the North Carolina Courage, with second half goals from midfielder Jess Fishlock and forward Bethany Balcer, who each picked up an assist as well. For her performance in the match, Fishlock was named NWSL Player of the Week for the first time this season. The match also drew the second largest crowd in club history, with 7,519 fans in attendance.

Off the field, OL Reign had a successful celebration of Pride, featuring face paint, balloons, mini Pride flags and more. The team hosted an auction of player-worn and autographed jerseys from match, as well as player-worn and autographed Protect Trans Kids t-shirts. Proceeds from the auction support Equality Texas and Associated Students of Seattle Pacific (ASSP).

In total, the auction raised $15,502.26. Fishlock’s jersey raised the most money, going for $2,050, while Quinn’s Protect Trans Kids Tee raised the most money, going for $500.
