Reign FC Set for Rematch with Orlando in NWSL Quarterfinal Match
Following an intense Decision Day, the 2025 NWSL Playoff bracket is set. Seattle Reign FC clinched the No. 5 position in the standings after a hard-fought draw with the Orlando Pride at Inter&Co Stadium.
With the draw, Reign FC is set to stay in Orlando and play another match against the Pride on Friday, November 7 at 5:00 p.m. PT. Fans can tune in to the match on Prime Video.
This marks Reign FC’s eighth playoff run in club history and the third time in club history the team will take on the same opponent in their final regular-season match and in the first round of the playoffs. Now, the team – a unique conglomeration of veteran leadership and young talent – comes together to fight for the ultimate prize – the club’s first-ever NWSL Championship.
HOW THE 2025 NWSL PLAYOFFS WORK
The top eight NWSL teams have qualified for the playoffs and every single team will play in the opening round from November 7-9, with the higher seeded team earning hosting rights. The matchups are as follows: 1 v 8 seed, 2 v 7 seed, 3 v 6 seed and 4 v 5 seed.
The winner of each match in the first round will advance to the semifinals from November 15-16, where the winner of the 1 v 8 seed game will play the winner of 4 v 5 seed game, and the winner of the 2 v 7 seed game will play the winner of the 3 v 6 seed match.
The season culminates with the NWSL Championship at PayPal Park on November 22, which will feature the winner of each semifinal match.
In any playoff match, if the score is tied after 90 minutes of play, two 15-minte extra time periods will be played in their entirety, followed by a penalty shoot-out, if necessary.
