EVERYTHING IS ON THE LINE
Last Friday, the Reign battled to a 0-0 with Utah Royals FC, grabbing one point on the road to end the weekend in eighth place in the NWSL standings, just shy of clinching a spot in the playoffs. There are currently three NWSL teams left in the playoff race – Seattle, North Carolina Courage and Denver Summit FC.
For the Reign, it’s simple – a win against Orlando and we’re in. However, should the result go any other way, the outcome of the other match, North Carolina vs. Denver, will come into play.
Don’t miss the biggest match of season
LAST ONE AT LUMEN
This is the last chance to see Reign FC play at Lumen Field until the 2027 NWSL season – don't miss it! The 2026 season has been a testament to the versatility and grit of this club and its fans. From Spokane to Seattle, the team has been fueled by supporters in the stands and will count on that energy once again against Orlando.
The summer saw Seattle string together a seven match home unbeaten streak, in addition to becoming the first team in NWSL history to record five straight home shutout wins in the regular season.
WHOLE LOT OF HISTORY
The team takes on the Orlando Pride in Sunday’s match and though the Pride are already eliminated from playoff contention, this is a familiar end-of-season matchup that is known to keep fans on the edge of their seats.
Most memorably, the two sides went head-to-head at Lumen Field in the final regular season match of 2022 and the Reign won 3-0 to lift the NWSL Shield. The two teams then closed out the 2024 regular season together in a five-goal thriller, ultimately ending 3-2 in favor of the Pride.
Most recently, Seattle and Orlando battled it out on Decision Day in 2025 to determine playoff seeding, which ended level at one goal apiece.
