Key Info Ahead of the Match:

1. Exciting Additions:

New Reign FC signing Mia Fishel, who was acquired from Chelsea FC, could make her first outing with Seattle in Sunday’s friendly. A dynamic, well-rounded striker, Fishel provides a focal point for a Reign attack that is filled to the brim with high-upside players. Fans could get a first glimpse of how she combines with fellow attacking players like Lynn Biyendolo, Maddie Dahlien, Jordyn Huitema, Coco Mondésir and Emeri Adames.

Sofia Huerta, the NWSL’s all-time leader in assists, has also returned to the squad following her loan with Olympique Lyon. Adding Huerta’s precision service from the flanks for Reign FC’s attacking group will inject a new level of offensive threat for the squad.

2. Last Outing:

In their last match prior to the break, Reign FC tallied four goals in a win on the road over Utah Royals FC. Seattle opened the scoring in the 6th minute when Dahlien headed the ball down for Ji So-Yun, who deftly evaded one defender before slotting her shot in the bottom-left corner. The Reign doubled their lead ten minutes later as Ji turned provider, volleying a pass into the path for Dahlien who then lobbed the onrushing goalkeeper.

Ji grabbed her second assist of the evening in the 66th minute as she weaved through three defenders before slipping a pass to Adames inside the box. Adames took one touch to settle before curling her left-footed shot inside the far post. The 19-year-old then scored her second of the evening in second half stoppage time as she calmly converted a penalty kick drawn by Mondésir.

3. Attack Igniting:

Despite showing plenty of attacking promise, the Reign scored just nine goals through their first 10 matches. Seattle’s attack came good on their potential the month of June, scoring eight goals in their last three matches, all of which were played on the road.

Adames (4 goals) and Dahlien (3 goals) lead the way as two of the five players with multiple goals this campaign. In total, nine different players have found the back of the net for Reign FC during the 2025 regular season.
