WHAT TO KNOW AHEAD OF THE MATCH

LAST MEETING

The Reign and Racing Louisville met two times in the 2025 season and both matches ended 1-0 in favor of the Reign. The first meeting of the 2025 season was in Kentucky and Maddie Dahlien, a rookie at the time, scored the game winning goal just 39 minutes into the match. The second match at Lumen Field, was decided in the 90th minute, by none other than Jess Fishlock.

All-time, the Reign have four wins, one loss and six draws against Louisville across all NWSL competitions and have scored 16 goals in the head-to-head series. Defender Sofia Huerta leads the series in minutes played, while Claudia Dickey owns the clean sheet record in the head-to-head series.

SCOUTING LOUISVILLE

Though Racing Louisville only has one point on the season, both of their matches thus far have come down to the wire, with the team narrowly failing to pull off a result. Notably, Louisville did not compete in a midweek matchup, most recently taking the pitch on Friday, March 20.

Backed by a full week of rest, Louisville will be looking to bounce back from dropping a 2-0 lead against the Washington Spirit, ultimately earning a 2-2 draw. Kayla Fischer opened the scoring for Racing in front of their home crowd set up by Emma Sears in the 28th minute. 15 minutes later, they doubled the lead, as Fischer started the play with a solid bout of defense before Sears turned on the jets and covered nearly three-fourths of the field in her solo effort on goal. However, Sofia Cantore and Leicy Santos had something to say as they netted goals for the Spirit in the second half, forcing Louisville to split the points.

SPOKANE ROUND TWO

Seattle continues their home away from home stretch at ONE Spokane Stadium after a stunning first performance at the venue. The intimate setting, reminiscent of Reign FC’s time at Memorial Stadium, allows the Reign to feel the strong support from all the fans in Spokane. Now, as they enter their second match in the stadium, they’ll be even more prepared, as they’ve had more time to acclimate to the smaller field size across the board.

The Spokane community has undoubtedly shown up for the Reign and has ample opportunities to continue to do so, as the club hosts a Reign Rally at Flatstick Pub the night before the match. Fans are invited to an evening hosted by General Manager Lesle Gallimore that will feature giveaways and a special Q&A panel with Reign alumni and players.

Then, at the same location, fans can attend a pre-match social on Saturday before heading over to ONE Spokane Stadium to see Reign FC take on Racing Louisville FC. For full details surrounding the events in Spokane, visit this page. To get tickets to the match, visit this page.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

For the Reign, Sofia Huerta had a standout Player of the Match performance, as she served up two assists in the 3-0 win over the Current. Though the assists speak for themselves, the Idaho native also posted a solid defensive performance as part of a backline that limited Kansas City to three shots on target.

Forward Brittany Ratcliffe once again proved to be a difference maker, notching her second goal of the season against Kansas City. The club’s leading goal scorer through three matches, her veteran presence on the pitch has brough the young squad a sense of composure and comfort, in addition to a quick attacking threat.

For Louisville, Emma Sears, who has made a name for herself for both club and country, has recorded a goal contribution in both matches so far this season and shows no signs of slowing down.

On the opposite end of the pitch, Jordyn Bloomer has been impressive in goal to start the campaign and had a strong match against Washington. She weathered 20 total shots against the Spirit, including 10 on target.
