Reign FC’s Preseason Match Against Angel City to Air on FOX 13+
As announced in December, Seattle Reign FC will travel to Indio, California for preseason training camp and play one match at the 2026 Coachella Valley Invitational. Fans are now able to watch the match live on select FOX stations, including FOX 13+ in the Seattle area.
The CVI has quickly become one of North America’s premier preseason soccer events, bringing together top NWSL and MLS clubs for training sessions and exhibition matches ahead of the 2026 seasons. This is the second consecutive year Reign FC is participating this event, joined by eight other NWSL clubs – Angel City FC, Bay FC, Denver Summit FC, Houston Dash, Kansas City Current, Portland Thorns FC, San Diego Wave FC and Utah Royals FC.
Reign FC’s match, set to take place on Saturday, February 21 at 1:30 p.m. PT at Empire Polo Club, is against familiar west coast foe, Angel City FC. This matchup takes place on the final day of NWSL competition at the event and will be an exciting – and important – early test for Reign FC as the team prepares for the 2026 NWSL season.
Angel City FC and Reign FC met during the Coachella Valley Invitation in 2025 and battled to a 1-1 draw. Forward Maddie Dahlien, a new face to Reign at the time, showed fans exactly what she was capable of as she dominated the attack in the match. She had several promising chances before slotting home the Reign’s only goal of the game in the 25th minute. Her dizzying pace allowed her to beat Angel City’s backline as she dribbled toward goal. She made no mistake as she found the back of the net in her one-on-one with the goalkeeper.
