Seattle Reign FC Extends Forward Ruby Hladek Through 2026 Season

The 23-year-old signs her second extension with Seattle after making her NWSL debut against Gotham FC on July 18

Seattle Reign FC today announced that the club has extended forward Ruby Hladek’s contract through the end of the 2026 season. Hladek, 23, initially signed a short-term contract with the club at the start of the 2026 campaign before earning an extension through August. The forward made her NWSL debut on the road against Gotham FC on July 18.

“Ruby continues to put in the work on and off the field, developing her game at this level while making a positive impact throughout the club,” said Seattle Reign FC General Manager Lesle Gallimore. “We're excited to extend her time with us – she's earned it.”

“I’m really excited and grateful for the opportunity to stay with the Reign through the rest of the season,” said Hladek. “I’ve learned so much from the coaching staff and my teammates, and I really enjoy coming in every day, competing and continuing to develop in this environment. I’m excited to keep working, keep growing and do whatever I can to help the team.”

Prior to signing her first contract with Seattle, Hladek was invited to participate as a non-roster invitee during the club’s 2026 preseason. In her collegiate career, she spent three seasons at Utah Valley University, where she became the program’s all-time leader in assists. She started all 60 matches she appeared in for the Wolverines, recording 24 goals and 32 assists while helping lead the program to three consecutive Western Athletic Conference regular season titles. As a senior in 2025, Hladek was named WAC Offensive Player of the Year and earned First Team All-WAC honors.
