Seattle Reign FC Forward Nerilia Mondesir Called Up to Haiti
Haitian captain joins Les Grenadières for two international friendlies in Spain against New Zealand and Equatorial Guinea in June
Seattle Reign FC forward Nerilia Mondesir has been called up to the Haiti Women’s National Team for the June FIFA international window. Haiti will participate in training camp in Malaga, Spain before facing off against New Zealand on June 5 and Equatorial Guinea on June 8 at Nuevo Estadio El Maulí.
Mondesir will play a crucial role for the team serving as captain of Les Grenadières. She has represented Haiti since 2014 starting with the academy sides before being called up to the senior side. This will be Haiti’s first-ever matchup against New Zealand.
Haiti most recently qualified for the Concacaf W Championship that will take place later this year on the road to qualifying for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup. The nation secured its spot after defeating Anguilla 5-0 and holding a 1-1 draw against the Dominican Republic in April 2026. They stood on top of the table in Group D after going undefeated with a 3-1-0 record in the group stage. Group D included Haiti, Anguilla, Belize, the Dominican Republic and Suriname.
During the 2026 NWSL season, Mondesir has made a strong impact for Reign FC. The forward has appeared in all ten matches, recording seven starts. She has made three goal contributions for the club with one goal and two assists.
