Seattle Reign FC Forward Nerilia Mondesir Called Up to Haiti
Haitian captain joins Les Grenadières in France for pair of international friendlies against Japan and Australia in October
Seattle Reign FC forward Nerilia Mondesir has been called up to the Haiti Women’s National Team for the upcoming FIFA international window. Haiti will travel to France for a pair of international friendlies, facing Japan on Friday, October 9 at Stade Bauer in Saint-Ouen before taking on Australia on Tuesday, October 13 at Stade Walter-Luzi in Chambly.
The Haitian captain has been a consistent presence for Reign FC during the 2026 season, appearing in 24 matches with 10 starts and logging 1,066 minutes. Mondesir has contributed to three goals this season with one goal and two assists.
Internationally, Mondesir most recently found the back of the net in Haiti’s 2-1 friendly victory over New Zealand during the June FIFA window. After Haiti fell behind late in the first half, Mondesir scored the equalizer in stoppage time before Les Grenadières completed the comeback with the game-winning goal shortly after halftime.
Earlier this year, Haiti secured its place in the 2026 Concacaf W Championship after going undefeated in qualifying with a 3-0-1 record to finish atop Group D. Les Grenadières will face Mexico in the quarterfinals on Saturday, November 28 as Haiti continues its pursuit of qualification for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
