Seattle Reign FC Signs Ivorian Forward Ami Diallo
CAF Women’s Interclub Player of the Year finalist and Ivorian international signs with Seattle through 2028 following standout season with ASEC Mimosas for an agreed upon transfer fee
Seattle Reign FC today announced the signing of Ivorian international forward Ami Diallo through the 2028 NWSL season for an agreed upon transfer fee to ASEC Mimosas. Diallo transfers to Reign FC following a standout campaign that included a second consecutive Ivorian Division 1 title and a historic run to the CAF Women’s Champions League final. The forward is set to arrive in Seattle in the coming weeks, pending receipt of her P-1 visa.
“Ami is a dynamic attacking player who has already shown her ability to produce at a high level, and we believe she has tremendous potential to continue growing in our environment,” said Seattle Reign FC General Manager Lesle Gallimore. “She brings quality, athleticism and a competitive mentality to our group, and her experience competing on the international stage will serve her well as she makes the transition to the NWSL. We’re excited to welcome Ami to Seattle and help her take the next step in her career.”
Diallo, 25, arrives in Seattle after helping ASEC Mimosas establish itself among the top clubs in African women’s soccer. During the 2025-26 domestic campaign, the forward scored 31 goals, second-most in the league, as ASEC captured its second consecutive Ivorian Division 1 championship.
On the continental stage, Diallo helped lead ASEC Mimosas to the 2025 CAF Women’s Champions League final in the club’s first appearance in the competition. She recorded three goals and one assist across five matches, including a two-goal, one-assist performance against Gaborone United to secure a place in the semifinals. Diallo also scored ASEC’s lone goal in the championship match against Moroccan side AS FAR.
Her performances for ASEC earned recognition among Africa’s top players, with Diallo selected as one of three finalists for the 2025 CAF Women’s Interclub Player of the Year award.
“I’m very excited to join Seattle Reign FC and begin this next chapter of my career in the NWSL,” said Diallo. “I’m looking forward to joining my new teammates, competing in a new league and giving everything I have for this club. I can’t wait to get to Seattle and meet the fans.”
At the international level, Diallo represents the Côte d’Ivoire Women’s National Team and was named to the country’s roster for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations. The tournament marked Côte d’Ivoire’s return to WAFCON for the first time in more than a decade, with Diallo part of an emerging generation of players helping drive the nation’s resurgence in women’s soccer.
Following its upcoming road stretch, Reign FC returns to Lumen Field on Sunday, August 30 for its annual Member Appreciation Match against the Houston Dash (4:00 p.m. PT / NWSL+, 950 KJR AM). Fans can secure their seats by visiting ReignFC.com/Tickets.
