Seven OL Reign Players Called Up for November/December International Window

OL Reign has seven players joining their national teams for the upcoming November/December international window. Alana Cook, Rose Lavelle and Emily Sonnett will all be representing the United States, Jordyn Huitema and Quinn will be representing Canada, Jess Fishlock will join Wales and Angelina will play with Brazil. A full schedule of OL Reign’s international games for this window can be found below.

The United States Women’s National Team is set to play two friendly matches against China PR to close out their 2023 campaign. Both matches will be played in the United States, with the team first traveling to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, followed by Frisco, Texas.  These meetings will mark the 59th and 60th clash between the two sides, but the first since 2018.

Canada will take on Australia in back-to-back friendly matches, both taking place in Canada as the team continues their preparation for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Most recently, Australia eliminated Canada in the FIFA World Cup with a decisive 4-0 win, but prior to that, Canada defeated Australia twice in a two-match series.

Wales will play two matches over the international window as the team continues their UEFA Women’s Nations League run. The team is ranked in League A of the competition in a group with Iceland, Denmark and Germany. The first match of this window will be played against Iceland, with the potential to secure a playoff spot for the 2025 UEFA EURO 2025 finals. The second match will be played against Germany and marks the team’s first match at the Swansea.com Stadium since 2018.

Brazil will play three international friendly matches, all set to take place in Brazil. The first two matches will be played against Japan and the third match will be played against Nicaragua. This marks the team’s first action since playing a two-game series against Canada during the previous international window, where they picked up one win and one loss.
