Six Seattle Reign FC Players Called Up for February International Window

Seattle Reign FC has six players joining their national teams for the upcoming international window. Jordyn Huitema and Quinn will be representing Canada, Jess Fishlock, Angharad James and Lily Woodham will join Wales and Ji So-Yun will play for Korea Republic. A full schedule of Seattle Reign FC international games can be found below.

The Canadian National Team will be participating in the CONCACAF W Gold Cup over the international break. The Gold Cup kicks off the team’s 2024 journey as they prepare for this summer’s Olympics in France. The 2024 Concacaf W Gold Cup features 12 teams from two Confederations – Concacaf and Conmebol. The teams are divided into four groups for the tournament, as drawn in December:

Group A: United States, Mexico, Argentina, Dominican Republic
Group B: Brazil, Panama, Colombia, Puerto Rico
Group C: Canada, Costa Rica, Paraguay, El Salvador

After round-robin play, the winners of each group, along with the runners-up and the two best third-place finishers, will advance to the Knockout Stage. Fans can find out where to watch based on their region HERE

The Welsh National Team is set to play one friendly match against the Republic of Ireland as preparations continue for the squad’s upcoming UEFA Women’s European 2025 qualifying campaign. The team, named by Interim Head Coach Jon Grey, features five first-time call-ups. This international window marks James and Woodham’s first call up as Reign players. The match is available live on BBC Wales.

Korea Republic, led by coach Colin Bell, will play two friendly matches in Portugal. The first match will be played against the Czech Republic and the second match will be played against Portugal. Notably, all of the teams are ranked between 20-28 in the FIFA Women’s Rankings. Though Korea Republic does not have any major competitions to play in this year, the team has its long-term sights set on the 2026 AFC Asian Cup and 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup. This pair of friendlies marks Ji So-Yun's first call up as a Reign player.
