Starting XI: Seattle Reign FC at Portland Thorns FC
Seattle Reign FC Head Coach Laura Harvey fields a brand-new lineup for the team’s friendly match against Portland Thorns FC at Providence Park at 7:00 p.m. PT.
Both teams most recently went head-to-head with Urawa Red Diamonds. The Reign earned a 2-1 victory over Urawa last Sunday at Lumen Field, while the Thorns drew 1-1 in regulation but secured the win after a penalty shootout.
Lineup Notes:
There are five changes to the lineup from last weekend: Goalkeeper Claudia Dickey, defender Phoebe McClernon, midfielder Sam Meza and forwards Emeri Adames and Maddie Dahlien slot into the lineup, while goalkeeper Maddie Prohaska, defender Shae Holmes, midfielder Ainsley McCammon and forwards Jordyn Huitema and Nérilia Mondésir are all available on the bench.
Defender Sofia Huerta, who scored both of the Reign’s goals against Urawa last weekend, earns the start once again.
Forward Mia Fishel, who made her debut for the Reign last weekend, also appears in the lineup for the second consecutive friendly match.
Defender Phoebe McClernon captains the squad against Portland.
