Starting XI: Seattle Reign FC vs. Portland Thorns FC
Seattle Reign FC Head Coach Laura Harvey fields her fifth unique lineup of the season as Reign FC takes on their biggest rivals Portland Thorns FC at 7:00 p.m. PT at Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington.
The most frequent match up in NWSL history, the teams are set to meet for the 42nd time tonight. In the regular season, the head-to-head series is 13-11-7 in favor of the Reign. Seattle and Portland are back-to-back in the NWSL standings in 6th and 7th place, respectively, separated by just a single point.
Lineup Notes:
Forward Lynn Biyendolo, who debuted for the Reign last Saturday against the Orlando Pride, enters the Starting XI for the first time in her Reign career. The attacker has scored 13 goals against Portland in all competitions, which is the most goals any player has scored against the Thorns.
Defender Phoebe McClernon continues her regular season appearance streak, reaching five starts this season and 40 consecutive matches played for the Reign. This match also marks her 50th regular season appearance for the Reign.
Defender and captain Lauren Barnes makes her 36th Cascadia Rivalry match appearance across all competitions – the most of any player for either side. She has only missed six matches against Portland since 2013.
Five players featured in the Starting XI have started every match of the season for the Reign – goalkeeper Claudia Dickey, defenders Jordyn Bugg, Madison Curry and Phoebe McClernon, and forward Maddie Dahlien.
