Adames, Bugg, Cedeño and McCammon called into United States U-20 Camp

As announced today by U.S. Soccer, Emeri Adames, Jordyn Bugg, Sofia Cedeño and Ainsley McCammon have been called up by the United States U-20 Head Coach Vicky Jepson as part of the 24-player training camp roster set to train in in Kansas City, Mo. from April 7-16.

The training camp will include two matches against fellow 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifier Brazil. The camp and matches are a continuation of the squad’s preparations for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, which will be held in Poland from September 5-27. The USA and Brazil are among the 16 nations to have already qualified for the tournament, which will feature 24 countries total, with the Asia and Africa Confederations yet to qualify their representatives.

The matches are set to take place on April 11 at CPKC Stadium and Riverside Stadium on April 15. The fixtures are part of the Kansas City Current’s first-ever Teal Rising Week, which features a lineup of professional, international and youth talent in a variety of matches, skills challenges, education sessions and more.

Reign FC has the most players of any NWSL club called into camp, with four. In total, 10 NWLS players are set to attend the U-20 camp. Cedeño is one of three rookies on the roster, while Bugg and McCammon are the only second-year professionals. Adames, the most experienced of the Reign quartet, is one of four third–year professionals included on the roster.

Seattle’s young players have been key to the club’s success during the 2026 and there’s much to look forward to, as the NWSL season is just four games in. With a marked emphasis on developing young players to thrive in the league and on the international stage, it’s no surprise to see the rising talent depart during the international break.

While Bugg hasn’t made her 2026 NWSL debut as she has spent the beginning of the season recovering from an injury sustained in senior national team camp, she’s known as a stalwart in the Reign’s backline. She was named a finalist for NWSL Defender of the Year and was also nominated for U.S. Soccer’s Young Female Player of the Year for the second consecutive season in 2025.  The 19-year-old was one of two teenagers named to the SheBelieves Cup roster last month after breaking into the senior national team lineup for the first time last year.

Adames, a well-known powerhouse in the Reign’s attack, has been instrumental in ushering the Reign into its next era and continues to prove time and time again that she’s up to the challenge. She’s already impressed during the 2026 NWSL season, developing a steady partnership with Reign FC veteran Sofia Huerta to showcase her excellence on the field. Just four games into her third season, she’s already recorded as assist.

In 2025, the forward was tied with club icon Jess Fishlock as the Reign’s leading goalscorer, tallying a career high six goals.

Cedeño, a 19-year-old rookie, recently made her long-awaited Reign FC debut. After spending the entire preseason developing alongside her teammates, the midfielder earned her first NWSL minutes and provided just a glimpse of what’s to come. Backed by prior youth national team experience and her time with Halifax Tides FC of the Northern Super League in Canada, Cedeño is an exciting young player to watch.

McCammon, who was the club’s youngest-ever signing, has had an impressive start to the 2026 season. Currently nominated for NWSL Assist of the Week, the midfielder has worked to hold down the center of the field through an incredibly busy stretch for the Reign.

Praised for her leadership on the pitch despite her age, McCammon is just getting started. She has one assist and two shots on the season and has appeared in all four of Reign FC’s matches.

As the Reign continues to surge into 2026 and beyond, it’s clear that the young players on the roster are set to shape this club and push it to excellence.
