Seattle Reign FC midfielder Ainsley McCammon is nominated for NWSL Assist of the Week for her perfectly placed set up on Nerilia Mondesir’s game-winning goal against Racing Louisville FC.

The 18-year-old has started in three of Reign FC’s four matches this season and logged 244 minutes on the pitch. She recorded the first assist of her NWSL career on Saturday against Racing Louisville FC, becoming the youngest player in club history to do so.

McCammon received the ball in space before slicing a through ball directly through the heart of Louisville’s defense to Mondesir, who needed just one touch before firing her shot into the back of the net to secure three points for the Reign.

“Ainsley is great,” said Sam Meza, who plays alongside her in the midfield. “As young as she is, she's a phenomenal player. She is really young but still has so much potential and that's obviously super exciting.”

“I've actually known Ains for some time now, playing and just growing up with Solar, so it's really cool to kind of have like a full circle moment and to kind of just like be back at the same club and playing together. I think, for us, we just work really hard. We commit to what is asked of us and what's best for the team.”

She’s nominated for Assist of the Week alongside Boston Legacy’s Amanda Gutierres, Bay FC’s Alex Pfeiffer and Portland’s Jayden Perry.
