Bugg, Dahlien, Fishel and Purcell Called into U.S. Under-23 Women’s National Team Camp
Jordyn Bugg, Maddie Dahlien, Mia Fishel and Neeku Purcell have all been called up to the U.S. Under-23 Women’s National Team by Head Coach Heather Dyche for a training camp that will run from June 1-June 9 in São Paulo, Brazil.
The U.S. U-23 squad will play two matches against Brasileirão Feminino Série A1 side SC Corinthians Paulista, who are currently in first place in their league and finished as runners-up in the inaugural FIFA Women's Champions Cup last February.
The Reign have the most players on the roster of any team, with four, closely followed by Denver Summit FC, who have three players on the roster. Bugg (6 caps), Dahlien (3 caps) and Fishel (3 caps) all bring experience with the senior USWNT, while Purcell has represented the USA in the FIFA Women’s World Cup at the youth level and was a part of the roster for the first two U-23 WNT camps of the year.
This camp marks the third of the year for the U-23 squad. This camp will be hosted in Brazil along with the senior USWNT, meaning both squads will experience the host country for the upcoming 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Head Coach Emma Hayes’ USWNT, including Reign FC’s Claudia Dickey, will play Brazil in São Paulo on June 6 and three days later in Fortaleza. The U-23 will attend the June 6 matchup before staying in São Paulo to conclude their training camp.
