Five Reason to Attend Seattle Reign FC vs. Houston Dash on Sunday
Seattle Reign FC continues its home stretch, playing another match at Lumen Field this Sunday, May 11 at 5:00 p.m. PT (TICKETS). Now unbeaten in three consecutive matches, this is a can’t-miss match for fans. Need more convincing? Here are five reasons to attend the match:
1. Mother's Day
Celebrate Mother’s Day at Lumen Field this weekend! The club is excited to host one of its marquee theme matches, perfectly fit for honoring the Queens in your life. This special matchday will be filled with heartfelt moments, powerful performances and a celebration of women that resonates far beyond the final whistle. Grab tickets for the whole family or treat mom to this special offer, including a complimentary drink and sweatshirt.
2. Momentum on our side
Reign FC is on a three-game unbeaten run, conceding just one goal during that stretch and scoring in every match. Two of those matches were home wins, both 1-0 victories over the Reign’s biggest rivals, Portland Thorns FC and the league-leading Kansas City Current. Continuing to find their stride in the season, the Reign have many notable players to watch, including the duo of Angharad James-Turner and Sam Meza in the midfield and forwards Lynn Biyendolo, Maddie Dahlien and Jordyn Huitema, who have all recorded goals in the Reign’s unbeaten run.
3. Expect the unexpected
With a versatile roster of players and deeply tactical head coach in Laura Harvey, Reign FC has an arsenal of strategy at their disposal, in addition to a deep roster. Most recently against Kansas City, the Reign relied on the stalwarts of the backline to hold down the middle of the field, while the outside players were free to transition into the attack.
One of the just four of teams with as many goal scorers as games played, every player on the pitch is capable of stepping up when called upon and producing a moment of magic. The team has recorded four first half goals and three second half goals this season, stretching the excitement from the first whistle to the final minutes of the match.
4. Making Lumen Field a Fortress
Working to make Lumen Field a fortress, the Reign have a strong track record at home, falling just once in Seattle this season. In addition, the team has not conceded more than one goal in a single home match in 2025, earning two home shutouts with Claudia Dickey in the net. Most recently, forward Lynn Biyendolo scored her first goal in a Reign jersey, joining Emeri Adames and Maddie Dahlien on the list of players to record a home goal this season.
5. Matchup vs. Houston Dash
The Reign are ready to go head-to-head with Houston for the 27th time across all NWSL competitions. This season, the Dash have recorded two wins, four losses and a draw. The squad has won once at home in Houston and once on the road, defeating the Chicago Stars. All-time, the Reign have tallied 18 wins, five losses and four draws against the Dash – the most regular-season victories against a single opponent by any club in league history. In the series, the Reign have scored 49 total goals – 29 more than the Dash.
