Seattle Reign FC Celebrate AANHPI Heritage Month This May

Seattle Reign FC is proud to continue its annual celebration of Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month! Join the club as it intentionally centers and celebrates this diverse community throughout the month of May with its local expert partners – all part of its work to RISE Together to advance equity.

Support Local AANHPI-owned Small Businesses

In partnership with Intentionalist, Seattle Reign is joining its fellow Seattle professional sports teams in encouraging fans to spend like it matters at AANHPI-owned small business. As part of the Receipt and Receive campaign, fans that shop at local AANHPI-owned business this month can submit their receipts to be entered to win prizes from Reign FC! Help the club and Intentionalist reach their goal of driving $45,000 in sales at AANHPI-owned businesses this AANHPI Heritage Month by finding a local AANHPI-owned business near you here and shopping intentionally.

Reign FC is also working with Intentionalist in its AMPLIFY: Chinatown-International District initiative focused on driving meaningful support to local AANHPI-owned small businesses. For its part, Seattle Reign is encouraging fans to patron Hood Famous Café + Bar in Chinatown. Founded in 2019 by Chera Amlag and Geo Quibuyen, Hood Famous Cafe + Bar celebrates Filipino flavors and culture. What began as a popup famous for its purple ube cheesecake evolved into a community-centered space serving Filipino-inspired cuisine and beverages throughout the day. Located directly across from the Chinatown Light Rail station neighboring Lumen Field, fans can easily add a stop to Hood Famous to their matchday plans!

During the club’s matches in May, AANHPI-owned businesses will be featured through food trucks in the Muckleshoot Plaza, providing fans with the opportunity to intentionally support AANHPI-owned business on matchday! The businesses to be featured are:
