Five Reign FC Players Called Up to Youth National Team Camp
This week, the NWSL takes a break from regular-season play as a host of players from the league join their respective national teams for training camp and matches. Reign FC has four players joining the U-23 United States Women’s National Team – Emeri Adames, Maddie Dahlien, Emily Mason and Neeku Purcell – and one player, Ainsley McCammon, joining the U-20 training camp.
Adames, Dahlien, Mason and Purcell are all part of the 24-player roster for training camp that will take place in Philadelphia. The camp runs concurrently with the U.S. Women’s National Team’s time in Philadelphia so U.S. head coach Emma Hayes and her staff can observe trainings. This is the fifth U-23 training camp of 2025, as Hayes has prioritized increased programming for this age group.
Adames, who has six goals in the 2025 NWSL regular season, has competed at various level in the United States Youth National Team system. In 2024, she was part of the U.S. squad that took third at the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia.
Dahlien is one of three players to attend all four previous camps this year. She has added four goals for the Reign this season, and like Adames, was a member of the U.S. team that took third at the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia.
Mason, another player to have attended every U-23 camp this year, played in the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica. Notably, she was also named to the Concacaf U-20 Championship Best XI for her efforts as she helped record seven straight shutouts during their run to the title. She has made 12 appearances for the Reign this season.
Purcell, a product of the Reign Academy, signed with the first team in June. She attended the 2025 Futures Camp in January and has represented the country in multiple major tournaments. She played in the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica and during the 2022 Concacaf U-20 Championship run, recorded four shutouts, including clean sheets in both the semifinal and final.
McCammon, the lone Reign player representing the Reign on the 24-player U.S. Under-20 Women’s National Team roster, is a part of training camp in Kansas City. The 18-year-old has amassed 15 appearances for the Reign and scored her first professional goal in the club’s most recent match.
This camp is the first for new U.S. U-20 WNT head coach Vicky Jepson, who comes to U.S. Soccer after a long stint at Tottenham Hotspur, where she served as first team senior assistant head coach and for a period, as interim head coach. The roster features seven NWSL players in total and McCammon is one of five that played in the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup
