Reign FC to Host RISE Together Match, Presented by Alaska Airlines on Friday

Commitment to community has been at the core of Seattle Reign FC since the club was founded in 2012, through every iteration of the team – and this season is no exception. This Friday, the club is set to host its RISE Together Match, presented by Alaska Airlines, a match dedicated to bringing people together through soccer, music and community impact.

To do so, the Reign and its charitable arm, RAVE Foundation, have partnered with Looking Out Foundation, a nonprofit organization founded by Brandi Carlile, to bring their shared ethos to life at this match and beyond.

The club is excited to extend an invitation to fans to directly participate on Friday through a special RISE Together experience at Lumen Field. As part of this initiative, fans can help pack supply bags for Mary’s Place guests, take part in donation drives and learn how to further support local organizations like Mary’s Place.

Mary’s Place, a stalwart in the community, is a family shelter that operates across King County and continues to grow, expanding and reimaging programs and spaces to support their community. Previously, Reign FC honored the Mary’s Place Mobile Outreach Team as Reign FC Legends, highlighting the club’s long-term commitment to the organization.

Similarly, this is not the first time that the Reign has joined forces with Looking Out Foundation. This partnership was first established last August and has since evolved. They are a key organization in the Reign’s RISE Purpose Platform commitments, working to advance equity for all in play and life.

“Looking Out Foundation comes alongside us seamlessly because they use music to do the same things that we do with soccer – serving mental health, self-expression and the community, in deep, meaningful ways. It's really powerful to see the organizations come together to serve one local community,” said Ashley Fosberg, Reign FC Chief Impact and Fan Engagement Officer and RAVE Foundation Executive Director.

And this Friday’s match is just the beginning. As longtime Reign fans and first-time fans come together as part of the Reign’s First Match On Us program, there’s no better time to support and invest in community together in a tangible way.

“It’s the perfect time for fans to join the club in putting service into action at our matches. I’m excited for fans to have the opportunity to see firsthand how Reign serves community and feel our deep commitment,” Fosberg said.

Through this special offer, $5 of every ticket purchase to see Reign FC take on San Diego Wave FC on Friday will benefit Mary’s Place!
