Seattle Reign FC Goalkeeper Maddie Prohaska Signs One-Year Extension
The 22-year-old first-year goalkeeper signs through 2026 NWSL season
Seattle Reign FC today announced that goalkeeper Maddie Prohaska has signed a contract extension through the 2026 season. Prohaska originally joined the Reign ahead of the 2025 campaign as a non-roster invitee and signed her first professional contract with the club on March 6.
“Maddie has worked extremely hard to earn her place among our goalkeeper corps, and we couldn’t be more pleased to extend her time here through next season,” said Seattle Reign FC General Manager Lesle Gallimore. “She’s shown she can compete at this level and is deeply committed to her growth and development. We’re thrilled to have her back with us for 2026.”
Prohaska earned her first appearance for the Reign in a recent international friendly against the Urawa Red Diamonds at Lumen Field on July 20, helping the team secure a 2-1 victory.
“I’m really grateful to continue my time at the Reign,” said Prohaska. “I’m in an environment that is helping me grow my game in new ways and giving me an opportunity to learn from the best. Even more so, the relationships I’ve been able to make have helped me find a home in Seattle – and I’m so happy to call it home for a bit longer.”
The Auburn University graduate was Reign FC’s third college signing during the league’s first offseason without the NWSL Draft. At Auburn, Prohaska made 96 starts and recorded 36 shutouts, setting the program’s all-time record. She concluded her collegiate career ranking third in total appearances, second in goals-against average (0.93), sixth in total saves (291) and seventh in save percentage (.768). In her senior season, she started all 21 matches and tied the school’s single-season shutout record with 12 clean sheets
