Seattle Reign FC Hosts Annual Youth Match, Presented by MultiCare Mary Bridge Children’s this Saturday
This Saturday, September 12, Seattle Reign FC hosts its annual Youth Match, presented by MultiCare Mary Bridge Children’s. This match brings an elevated atmosphere for children and families to enjoy being part of the Reign FC fandom.
As soon as fans enter Lumen Field, they will be greeted with a special gate giveaway, courtesy of MultiCare. The giveaway item, a youth scarf, features art designed at the new Mary Bridge hospital from Reign FC players Cassie Miller and Maddie Mercado, as well as Mary Bridge Ambassadors, Gracelyn and Malia.
Continuing the fun, the east main concourse is set to feature the activations that fans know and love, like the Trupanion photobooth, Paula’s Choice Glow Zone. CVS Minute to Win It Challenge and Sparkling Ice, Anything but Subtle Fan Zone, plus a couple of marquee activations specially designed for the Youth Match.
Headlining the lineup is a special Youth Match Locker Room Photo Op, where fans can pose like a Reign FC player and take the photo home as a keepsake. After the photo op, be sure to collect your magnetic photo frame and bedazzle it.
Exclusively for Kids Club Members, be sure to create your own locker nameplate to make the experience more personal.
The MultiCare Mary Bridge Children’s Adolescent Care Clinic will also have a spot on the concourse to share healthcare resources designed specifically with teens and young adults in mind. Fans can learn more about specialized care and services for young people ages 12–22 and pick up free giveaways and helpful teen health resources.
Just before kickoff, Mary Bridge Ambassador Claire will lead Lumen Field in the Reign’s traditional Scarves Up moment. Claire is an 18-year-old all-star who recently graduated from Sumner High School. She's been a long-time soccer fan and player with Washington Premier FC and is joined by fellow patient ambassadors and staff from MultiCare Mary Bridge Children's Hospital, where she's received treatment for pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia, a bone marrow cancer, for the past five years.
Last year, during her senior year of high school, Claire's cancer returned, but she's never let it defeat her. Because of the care she's received at Mary Bridge Children's, Claire is inspired to Rise Like Reign and hopes to attend nursing school to become a pediatric oncology or NICU nurse.
