Seattle Reign FC to Return to Coachella Valley Invitational in 2027

Club returns to the Coachella Valley Invitational for the third consecutive year; Eight NWSL clubs set to participate with competition dates scheduled for January 30 and February 6.

Seattle Reign FC today announced that the club will participate in the 2027 Coachella Valley Invitational (CVI), returning to the annual preseason event for the third consecutive year. Reign FC will join seven other NWSL clubs at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, with NWSL competition scheduled for Saturday, January 30 and Saturday, February 6.

The 2027 event will feature eight NWSL clubs, with Angel City FC, Bay FC, Chicago Stars FC, Denver Summit FC, the Kansas City Current, San Diego Wave FC and Utah Royals FC competing alongside Reign FC.

Now entering its sixth edition, the Coachella Valley Invitational has grown into the largest preseason gathering in North American professional soccer. The 2027 event runs from January 30 through February 13, bringing together NWSL and MLS clubs for preseason training, exhibition matches and organizational activities ahead of their respective seasons.

For the first time, CVI will feature NWSL and MLS clubs competing on the same matchday, with matches from both leagues scheduled for Saturday, February 6. Full matchups and kickoff times will be announced at a later date. Advance passes for all CVI competition dates will go on sale at CoachellaValleyInvitational.com on Thursday, October 1 at 10 a.m. PT.
