Three Seattle Reign FC Players Named to U.S. U-20 Women’s National Team for 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup
Emeri Adames, Ainsley McCammon and Evan O’Steen selected to 21-player roster for FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland; Reign FC is the only NWSL club with multiple players named to the U.S. roster
Three Seattle Reign FC players have been named to the U.S. Under-20 Women’s Youth National Team roster for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland. Forward Emeri Adames, midfielder Ainsley McCammon and goalkeeper Evan O’Steen are among the 21-player roster, with Seattle standing as the only NWSL club with multiple players named to the U.S. squad. All three Reign FC players enter the tournament with previous FIFA Women’s World Cup experience.
Adames, 20, returns to the U-20 Women’s World Cup after helping the United States finish third at the 2024 tournament in Colombia. The Reign FC forward started all seven matches and recorded a team-leading four assists during the competition. Adames, who also represented the U.S. at the 2022 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, enters this year’s tournament with four U-20 caps and one goal. Now in her third season with Seattle, she has recorded seven career NWSL goals and remains the youngest to score in club history.
McCammon, 19, is set to make her first appearance at the U-20 Women’s World Cup after helping the U.S. earn a third-place finish at the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup. The midfielder shared captain duties during the tournament, wearing the armband in three matches, and scored in the Third-Place Match victory over England. McCammon finished her U-17 career with two goals in 11 caps and enters the tournament with six U-20 appearances. In her third professional season with Reign FC, McCammon has appeared in 16 matches in 2026, recording a team-leading four assists. On July 26 against San Diego Wave FC, she became the youngest player in NWSL history to record multiple assists in a single match.
O’Steen, 18, is set to compete in her third consecutive FIFA youth World Cup after representing the United States at the 2024 and 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cups. The Reign FC goalkeeper appeared in five of six matches during the 2024 tournament, helping the U.S. finish third while earning the Golden Glove as the competition’s top goalkeeper. She returned to the U-17 World Cup in 2025, appearing in three matches, and enters her first U-20 World Cup with two caps at the U-20 level.
The 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup will take place from September 5-27 in Poland, with the United States drawn into Group D alongside Italy, Japan and New Zealand. The U.S. opens tournament play against Italy on Sunday, September 6 (9:00 a.m. PT / FOX Soccer Plus), before facing Japan on Wednesday, September 9 (9:00 a.m. ET / FS2) and New Zealand on Saturday, September 12 (6:00 a.m. PT / FS1).
