Evan O’Steen called up to U.S. U-19 squad

Reign FC goalkeeper Evan O’Steen was named to the roster for the U.S. Under-19 Women’s National Team’s upcoming training camp in Argentina. The squad will play two matches against the hosts as part of this camp.

The USA will face the Argentina U-19 WNT for the first fixture on April 14 and quickly play another match, once against playing the same team on April 17 at the Argentina Football Federation Training Center in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

O’Steen is one of four professional players on the roster, three of which play in the NWSL. She’s joined by Melanie Barcenas from San Diego Wave FC and forward Micayla Johnson from Chicago Stars FC. Johnson and O’Steen were both called into U-19 camp during the February international window, where the squad played matches against Wales, Czechia and Portugal.

In 2025, O’Steen competed in the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, where she played in two group stage matches and the Round of 16. The previous year, she earned Golden Glove honors at U-17 World Cup as the United States took third place.

O'Steen continues to navigate her first NWSL season confidently, though she has yet to make her professional debut. The former Florida State University goalkeeper has proven to be a solid addition to the Reign’s roster and contributes to the sustained momentum Seattle has generated through the start of the season.
