Six Reign FC Players Embark on International Duty in October

Seattle Reign FC is sending six players on international duty during the October FIFA window. Claudia Dickey, Angharad James-Turner and Nerilia Mondesir join their senior national teams, while Jordyn Bugg, Maddie Dahlien and Mia Fishel join the United States U-23 squad.

Dickey and Mondesir are both set to play two friendly matches over the break. With the United States, Dickey faces Spain twice in back-to-back matches, while Mondesir and Haiti take on Japan first, then Australia. Though these friendly matches bear no prize for victory, both sides will be looking to improve their play ahead of FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifying.

For Angharad James-Turner and Wales, the two-match play-off series against Albania is critical, as the winner will go on to face either Norway or Romania in another two-legged series for a place at the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup that will take place in Brazil next summer.

Reign FC’s U-23 trio will participate in camp before playing two friendly fixtures against the Dominican Republic U-23 WNT at the U.S. Soccer National Training Center.
