Seattle Reign FC Loans Sofia Cedeño & Neeku Purcell to Dallas Trinity FC
The midfielder and goalkeeper duo join Dallas Trinity FC of the Gainbridge Super League on loan through the end of the 2026 NWSL season
Seattle Reign FC today announced that midfielder Sofia Cedeño and goalkeeper Neeku Purcell have been loaned to Dallas Trinity FC of the Gainbridge Super League through the end of the 2026 NWSL season. The duo will reunite with former Reign FC Assistant Coach Lee Nguyen, who was named Dallas Trinity FC's First Team Manager and Technical Director on July 2.
"This is a great opportunity for both Sofia and Neeku to continue their development by earning consistent minutes in a competitive environment," said Seattle Reign FC General Manager Lesle Gallimore. "They're both talented young players with bright futures, and experiences like this are invaluable at this stage of their careers. We're excited to watch them continue to grow with Dallas Trinity FC."
Cedeño, a Dallas native, signed with Reign FC through the 2028 NWSL season ahead of the 2026 campaign. She made her NWSL debut on March 20 against Portland Thorns FC.
Purcell, a Reign Academy product and Seattle native, signed a multi-year contract extension through the 2028 NWSL season on July 1. The goalkeeper originally joined the club on a short-term replacement player contract in 2025 before signing a one-year contract ahead of the 2026 season. The 22-year-old also brings previous Gainbridge Super League experience after playing for Brooklyn FC.
Both players have represented the United States at the youth international level. Cedeño was most recently called into the U.S. U-20 Women's National Team's July training camp, while Purcell most recently represented the U.S. U-23 Women's National Team during its June training camp.
